A family with two children bought a 92 m² new-build flat in a recent development in Pont d'Inca (Marratxí). The handover included three bedrooms, a bathroom, a cloakroom, a living/dining room and a kitchen. They needed a walk-in wardrobe in the main bedroom, a home-office for remote work and reinforced acoustic insulation on the party wall with the neighbour, which was clearly insufficient day to day.
We installed a drywall partition (Placo PPM 98/48 system) to divide the main bedroom (14 m²) and create a 4 m² walk-in wardrobe with a sliding door. Over the existing party wall we built an acoustic reinforcement lining with 15 mm board and 70 kg/m³ mineral wool (12 m²). We finished the job with a continuous false ceiling in the living/dining room (28 m²) and recessed LED downlights (€60 per lighting point) replacing the original ceiling lamps.
The work was completed in 7 working days, sequenced room by room so the family could sleep in the flat every night. Total cost: €5,900 (VAT included).
