Drywall —known locally as "pladur", Saint-Gobain's laminated plasterboard system— is the standard in renovations of homes, hotels and holiday apartments in Mallorca. At Pladur Mallorca we have specialised in these systems and in plastering (escayola) since 2004.
What is drywall and why is it the standard in Mallorca?
Plasterboard UNE-EN 520 Type A (BA13 12.5 mm) screwed onto galvanised Z275 C-profile framing spaced 400 mm. In Mallorca it dominates between-season renovations: an 80 m² flat in Playa de Palma takes 7-10 working days with drywall vs 25-30 with brick.

Yes. For wet areas we use moisture-resistant (H) board, known as green board. It has additives that repel moisture and withstand water vapour. This is the standard solution for bathrooms, kitchens and any area exposed to humidity.
Yes, all our work comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty. Materials are covered by the manufacturer (Placo, Knauf, Lafarge). If any issue comes up during that period, we resolve it at no additional cost.
In most cases, no. One of drywall's biggest advantages is that it's installed without prior building work: no wall chasing, no debris and the space stays clean from day one. Only in specific cases (active moisture, very irregular structures) is minor preparation needed.

We make decorative mouldings, cornices, arches, columns, seamless coatings and premium plaster finishes (from €22/m² seamless, from €12/linear metre for mouldings). Plastering complements drywall on villas, fincas and heritage renovations.
