Premium villa renovation in Port d'Andratx
A 220 m² villa overlooking Port d'Andratx marina needed an integral interior renovation coordinated by a Palma interior-design studio. Built in 2005, its finishes had dated and the new owners wanted to transform the main-floor layout completely. Standards were at the highest level: perfectly flat surfaces for a Venetian-plaster finish, designer false ceilings with complex geometries and full soundproofing between the living area and the bedrooms.
The drywall scope covered the main floor and the bedroom floor. In the living room (55 m²) we built a three-tier stepped false ceiling with perimeter cove for indirect LED lighting and niches for ambient-audio speakers. In the four bedrooms, continuous double-board ceilings (120 m² total, Placo BA13) were installed with 60 mm Isover mineral-wool acoustic insulation between board and slab. The partitions between day zone and bedrooms were reinforced with a Knauf double independent frame, double boards and high-density rock wool, achieving a 56 dB acoustic reduction (well above CTE DB-HR). We also built two walk-in wardrobes with drywall framing (16 lm of partitions) and a kitchen office.
The work was completed in 18 working days with a dedicated three-technician team. The drywall package cost 19,800€. Coordination with the interior designer was constant: three joint visits checked levels, flatness and technical-element positions before each phase. The result: a perfect base for the painter to apply Venetian plaster without corrections, and acoustic performance allowing music in the living room without any sound reaching the bedrooms.
